Position Overview

This position is responsible for retrieving raw materials, weighing, mixing, filling, forklift operation, and supporting shipping and receiving processes. The role ensures materials are prepared, processed, and handled safely and accurately in accordance with batch specifications and company procedures. The schedule for this position is from 3:30pm-1:30am Monday through Friday. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Accept daily production tasks (batches) from the Lead Batch Maker and Technical Director
  • Pre-stage raw materials for upcoming batches using pick lists in coordination with the Inventory Technician
  • Confirm stock levels of raw materials and components with the Inventory Technician
  • Weigh and measure raw materials, ingredients, and products to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Blend raw materials using appropriate equipment according to Batch Card requirements
  • Coordinate sample requests with the QC Lab for testing, batch approval, or adjustment
  • Safely transfer materials, supplies, and products between storage and work areas using forklifts and other moving equipment
  • Transport empty drums, partial drums, and unused raw materials to designated storage areas
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment and proactively address safety concerns
  • Clean, adjust, and maintain equipment and work areas
  • Notify supervisors of needed repairs or equipment issues
  • Maintain and properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lead or Production Manager

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to write legibly
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and multitask in a production environment
  • Forklift certification or prior forklift operation experience required or ability to obtain certification

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Familiarity with batch processing or chemical/material handling
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to safely lift and move barrels and materials
  • Comfort working in environments with moderate noise levels
  • Willingness to wear required PPE, including respiratory protection when handling powders or certain chemicals
  • Ability to work at heights when required due to elevated equipment
